Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm, and we are located at 29 Melanesia Rd, Kohimarama.
How often should my pet have a check-up?
Routine wellness exams are typically recommended once a year for healthy adult pets.
Puppies and kittens may need more frequent visits.
Senior pets or those with chronic conditions may require more regular check-ups.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, we do need people to make appointments so that our schedule runs smoothly, so we don’t leave other clients waiting too long, and so that we have a vet available to do the appointment.
Sometimes we may need to see an emergency ahead of scheduled appointments.
How can I prepare my pet for a visit to the vet?
To make your pet’s visit as smooth as possible, please ensure we have received your pet’s medical records from a previous veterinary clinic if applicable. We can ring and request these.
Ensure your pet is comfortable and secure in their carrier or on a leash.
If you have any specific concerns or questions, write them down beforehand.
If your pet gets anxious at the vet clinic, please call ahead to discuss how we can help minimise stress to your pet before they come in.
Please refer to our fear free page here for more information.
Do I need to pay at the time of my visit?
Yes we expect payment for all services and treatments at the time or when you pet is discharged from the clinic.
What are your payment options?
We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and cash. A surcharge for credit card use will apply. We do not accept Amex.
How can I minimise my veterinary costs?
Pet insurance is a great way to be covered for many unexpected scenarios with your pet that can be costly.
Regular visits to the clinic will help pick up problems early which can mean an easier and cheaper way to get your pet back to good health.
Feeding good nutrition and keeping your pet in a healthy weight range can help reduce the risk of illness happening.
Where can I park?
The angle parking in front of the clinic has a 30 minute time limit and so should be sufficient for most visits to the veterinary clinic.
If you find yourself unable to find a close enough park, particularly if it will be difficult to carry or walk your pet in, please phone us and we will organise a place for you to temporarily park to drop off your pet.
What vaccinations does my pet need?
The vaccination schedule varies based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and health status. We’ll work with you to determine the best vaccination plan for your pet.
Please refer to our vaccine page here for detailed information
