What happens during surgery?
A dedicated surgical nurse monitors your pet closely throughout the procedure and recovery.
To ensure your pet’s safety, we use advanced monitoring equipment that tracks vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels throughout the surgery.
When pets receive IV fluid therapy, it helps maintain hydration, supports the cardiovascular system, and assists the liver and kidneys in flushing out anaesthetic agents for a quicker recovery. After surgery, pets are moved to either our dog or cat ward to recover in a calm and quiet environment. This separation is especially important for our feline patients, who are more sensitive to noise and smells. We make sure all pets are kept warm and comfortable, receiving plenty of care and attention until they fully recover from anaesthesia.
In addition, we are committed to providing excellent pain management for your pet. A customised pain relief plan is created for each patient, ensuring their comfort during and after surgery.
